GAMES & CHALLENGES

1.Truth or Dare

Okay besties, this one is a classic sleepover idea for a reason.

Everyone takes turns choosing truth or dare. If you pick truth, you have to answer a question honestly (no skipping).

If you pick dare, you have to do a fun or silly challenge that the group comes up with.

It can get hilarious, chaotic, and sometimes a little embarrassing, but that’s what makes it so fun when y’all are together. Expect lots of laughing, screaming, and “NO WAY I’M DOING THAT” moments.

2. Would You Rather

I play this game at every sleepover I’ve hosted, I’m sure you know this game it’s so simple but somehow gets so chaotic so fast.

It always turns into debates, laughing, and someone saying, “WHY would you pick that??” 😂

One person asks a question that starts with “Would you rather…” and gives two options, usually both kinda ridiculous. Then everyone has to pick one and explain their answer. Some choices are easy, but others will have you thinking way too hard and defending your life decisions.

3. Never Have I Ever

One person says a statement that begins with “Never have I ever…” like “Never have I ever fallen asleep in class.”

Anyone who has actually done that thing has to admit it (or take a snack or sip if you’re playing that way).

At first it’s harmless stuff, but after a few rounds people start getting creative with their questions and that’s when everyone learns some pretty unexpected things about each other.

It’s simple, funny, and perfect sleepover idea for teens or adults

4. Charades

I’ll be honest, I’m terrible at this game. Like, truly bad. But somehow it can still be fun depending on the topic.

The idea is simple: one person has to act out a word, movie, show, or phrase without speaking while everyone else tries to guess it.

If the category is something you actually know (like popular movies or inside jokes), it’s a lot easier and way more entertaining.

If not… well, expect, it usually turns into people wildly guessing the wrong thing while the actor is desperately miming their life away. And somehow that’s the part that makes it so funny.

5. 2 Truths and a Lie

This one is perfect if you think you’re good at reading people.

Each person takes a turn saying three statements about themselves: two are true, and one is completely made up.

The rest of the group has to figure out which one is the lie.

The fun part is watching everyone try to sound convincing while the group decides what sounds suspicious.

Sometimes the lie is obvious, and sometimes the real surprise is discovering something random that’s actually true.

6. Scavenger hunt around the house

Okay this one is actually so fun if everyone commits to it.

Basically someone makes a list of random things to find around the house; stuff like “something red,” “something tiny,” or “the weirdest object you can find.”

Then everyone runs around trying to collect the items before anyone else does.

It gets competitive really fast because suddenly everyone’s rushing from room to room opening drawers and checking corners like they’re on a serious mission.

Also people start bringing back the most random things just to win, which honestly makes it even better.

7. Board games or card games

Not going to lie, this one really depends on the game, because some board games take forever and people lose interest halfway through.

But the right ones are actually so fun.

Card games like UNO, Crazy Eights, or Go Fish are easy to start and everyone understands them quickly.

And if someone brings a board game that’s fast and a little intense, like something where people can block each other or steal points, it gets way more entertaining.

Suddenly people are defending their moves like it’s a serious strategy decision, and the whole table gets really invested in who’s going to win.

8. Video game tournaments

Okay hear me out. If someone has a console, tournaments can actually be really fun.

Not like serious gaming or anything, just everyone taking turns and seeing who lasts the longest.

Games like Mario Kart, Just Dance, Mortal Combat or Mario Party are perfect because even if you’re bad at them, it’s still funny to play.

Half the time the best part isn’t even the game, it’s everyone yelling at the screen when someone messes up or wins out of nowhere. It just turns into one of those moments where everyone’s crowded around watching.

9. Pillow fight competition

I know pillow fights sound like such a cliché sleepover thing, but they’re actually really fun when everyone gets into it.

You just grab pillows and go for it on the bed, trying to knock each other off balance.

Nobody’s really trying to “win,” it’s more about the chaos of everyone swinging pillows, laughing, and trying not to fall over.

It usually lasts like two minutes before everyone’s out of breath and laughing.

Honestly it’s one of those sleepover ideas that somehow becomes a core memory.

10. Try to stay awake challenge

At some point during the sleepover someone always says, “Let’s just stay up all night.”

And suddenly it becomes a whole challenge. In the beginning everyone’s still full of energy; talking about random things, watching movies, eating snacks, and just hanging out.

But once it gets really late, you start noticing people getting quieter, curling up in blankets, or insisting they’re not tired at all while clearly struggling to keep their eyes open.

The real question becomes: who’s actually going to make it to sunrise?

MOVIES & ENTERTAINMENT

11. Have a movie marathon (pick a theme like horror, comedy, or romance)

At some point during the night someone always says, “Wait, we should watch a movie.” And somehow that turns into watching multiple movies instead of just one.

The fun part is picking a theme; like all horror movies if everyone’s feeling brave, rom-coms if you want something cute and easy, or just random comfort movies everyone already loves.

Half the time people are actually watching, and the other half you’re talking over the movie, reacting to scenes, or quoting lines you already know.

It’s one of those chill sleepover things where everyone’s just cozy and hanging out together.

12. Watch funny videos or TikToks together

This is honestly one of the easiest ideas to keep the vibe going at a sleepover without trying too hard.

Everyone just shares the videos they’ve been saving on a big screen, and it turns into a mix of inside jokes, random trends, and clips that are way funnier in a group.

It’s relaxed, a little chaotic in a fun way, and somehow never gets boring no matter how long you do it.

13. Re-create scenes from movies

Okay this one could be really and no I know what you’re thinking, it’s not childish.

Just look at the recent reenactments of classics like Norbit on TikTok it’s hilarious.

And, it could be any movie just use your imagination, go for something everyone knows so it hits even more.

Pick a scene and act it out in your own way—bad acting, over-the-top drama, all of it. It doesn’t even have to be perfect, that’s literally the point.

14. Make a TikTok Together

Okay this one has so much potential. Instead of doing a whole short film, just pick a TikTok trend and recreate it.

Like the outside trend where everyone’s in their pyjamas, sleeping and looking all cozy, and then as soon as the music switches to “you know good girls who don’t come outside get cheated on” everyone is suddenly dressed up to the nines, looking tea, walking like it’s a full-on catwalk.

It’s dramatic, it’s fun, and if the crew commits, it turns out so good.

15. Do impressions of celebrities or teachers

You don’t have to be good at mimicking voices or mannerisms, that’s half the fun.

You just take turns doing impressions, could be a celebrity, a teacher, or even someone everyone knows and the rest have to guess who it is.

It gets even better when the impressions are either really accurate or completely off but somehow still recognizable.

Either way, it always ends in laughter.

FOOD ACTIVITIES

16. Make homemade pizza together

Okay, hear me out, this one is such a fun sleepover idea!

Everyone gets to pick their toppings, go a little wild with combinations, and basically make a pizza that’s 100% their vibe.

You can have classics, weird mashups, or even dessert pizzas if you’re feeling crazy. The best part?

Eating your creations right after and joking about whose pizza actually looks edible. It’s messy, creative, and honestly one of the most satisfying sleepover activities.

17. Bake cookies or brownies

This is really just an excuse to do something cute and then eat immediately after.

Someone’s measuring, someone’s just there to “supervise” and sneak tastes, and somehow the kitchen ends up a mess anyway.

You can keep it simple or decorate them after if you want to be extra. Either way, fresh cookies or brownies at a sleepover just hit differently.

18. Build crazy ice-cream sundaes

You’re not just making normal ice cream, you’re loading it up with whatever you can find.

Sprinkles, chocolate, biscuits, random snacks… anything goes.

Everyone’s trying to outdo each other with the most over-the-top combo, and some of them end up looking insane but still taste so good. It’s fun, a little messy, and very worth it.

19. Snack tasting challenge (rate each snack)

This is actually such a fun sleepover idea, if you do it properly.

Get a bunch of different snacks you’ve never tried before and try them one by one, rating each out of 10. You can even blindfold people to make it more interesting.

The best part is hearing everyone’s opinions because someone will love something and someone else will think it’s the worst thing ever. It turns into a whole debate over snacks you’d normally not even think twice about.

20. Try weird food combinations

This is where you just stop caring and start experimenting. You take random things you’d never normally put together.

Here are some fun and slightly wild combinations you can try at a sleepover.

Pickles + Peanut Butter – Crunchy, tangy, and surprisingly… something.

Chocolate + Fries – Sweet, salty, and kind of addictive.

Ice Cream + Hot Sauce – Totally insane but some people swear by it.

Cheese + Jam – Fancy vibe, but weirdly tasty.

Cereal + Soda – Very questionable, but try it and tell me how it goes.

Nutella + Potato Chips – Crunch meets chocolate heaven.

Banana + Bacon – Sweet and savory, full flavor chaos.

Popcorn + M&M’s – Classic movie snack, but upgraded.

Some of them will actually surprise you and taste good, and others… you’ll regret immediately. That’s kind of the whole point though.

CHILL & CREATIVE THINGS

21. DIY spa night (face masks, nails, hair styling)

This one is such a vibe.

Everyone gets comfy in their PJs, slaps on a face mask, and maybe tries out a new nail color or hairstyle.

It’s low-key, relaxing, and gives you an excuse to giggle over silly face masks or questionable nail painting skills.

Bonus points if someone brings cucumber slices for the eyes and it turns into a whole instagrammable moment.

It’s one of those chill sleepover party ideas that somehow feels extra relaxing.

22. Give each other makeovers

This one is all about trying looks your friends usually wouldn’t dare to do.

Like, you know your friend would never try that wild eyeliner or bold lip, but you secretly know it’ll look amazing on her, so you do it for her. It’s fun, a little daring, and honestly empowering for everyone involved.

The best part?

Seeing her face light up when she realizes she actually can pull it off. It’s low-pressure, playful, and totally brings everyone closer.

23. Draw or paint together

This one is surprisingly fun even if no one’s “good” at art.

Grab some paper, paints, or markers and just go for it. Draw portraits of each other, doodle funny scenes, or try to recreate something fancy you saw online.

Half the fun is how ridiculous it turns out, and half is just laughing together while comparing your masterpieces.

Bonus points if you set up a little “art gallery” at the end and judge each other’s work in the most dramatic way possible.

24. Make friendship bracelets

This one is a classic for sleepover ideas for teens.

You grab some colorful threads and braid or knot bracelets while talking about literally everything—school, crushes, random funny stories.

It’s super chill, gives everyone something to focus on, and by the end you all have a cute little bracelet to remember the night by.

And at the end, you can swap bracelets with each other.

25. Write a group story where each person adds a sentence

This is another fun one for sleepover ideas for teens, but honestly, adults can enjoy it too.

Everyone takes turns adding a sentence to a story, and it quickly goes from normal to completely ridiculous—plot twists, weird characters, and total chaos included.

The best part is seeing where everyone’s imagination takes it and laughing together at how wild and funny the story becomes.

NIGHT-TIME FUN

26. Tell scary stories with the lights off

This is another classic sleepover idea anyone can get into.

Everyone sits in a circle, lights off or super dim, and you take turns telling a scary story you made up or one you’ve heard before.

The dark and quiet makes every little noise feel ten times scarier, and by the time it’s someone else’s turn, everyone is completely on edge.

Lol, brings back so many memories, all I can say is this one never fails.

27. Stargaze if you can go outside

This is one of the sleepover ideas on this list to go for if you want a chill vibe.

If you have a backyard or somewhere safe to step outside, just lie back and look up at the sky.

Maybe you don’t want to be out in the cold, or eaten alive by mosquitoes, then having a car with a sunroof works out great too.

Point out constellations, make up your own stories about the stars, or just talk about life while the night goes by. It’s peaceful, a little magical, and honestly one of the most relaxing ways to spend a sleepover night.

28. Take silly photos or make a photo shoot

You can do an aesthetic photoshoot. Create your own theme for it.

Throw in some decorations to stay committed to the chosen theme. All you need is a tripod, and your iPhone and you’re good to go.

By the end, you’ll have a ton of pics that are way too extra, definitely Instagram worthy but perfect to look back on later.

29. Talk about your funniest or most embarrassing moments

Okay girl, now this is where things start getting juicy and interesting.

Pick a topic: funniest thing that’s ever happened, most embarrassing moment, or even a tiny cringe from school.

Everyone takes turns spilling their guts somehow the ”dumbest” questions end up being the funniest, and you end the night feeling like you know each other way better.

30. Deep late-night conversations

Late-night talks are a sleepover staple that no one really plans but everyone remembers.

When it gets a little late and everyone’s tired, people open up in ways they wouldn’t during the day. You end up sharing thoughts, secrets, dreams, or just random weird tangents.

It’s low-pressure, feels intimate, and can actually be one of the most memorable parts of the night.

31. Try not to laugh challenge

Honestly one of the funniest ways to kill time at a sleepover.

Everyone takes turns showing memes, videos, or telling jokes, and the goal is simple, don’t laugh.

Easy, right?

Except no one ever makes it more than a minute. People snort, cover their mouths, and end up laughing at the tiniest things, and suddenly the whole room is losing it.

The person who laughs first will have to do one of these ( ofcourse you can come up with yours);

• They have to do a dare the group picks.

• Take a silly photo or video.

• Wear a funny accessory until the next round.

• Lose a point if you’re keeping score.

32. Talent show

Okay this is basically just everyone showing off a little.

Nothing serious, someone might sing, someone dances, someone does something random that barely counts as a “talent.”

It’s more about the reactions than the performances.

Some people will actually be good, others will just be there making everyone laugh, and that’s what makes it fun.

33. Dress up in random clothes

Pick out outfits for each other instead of yourself, that’s where it gets interesting.

You end up in combinations you’d never choose, trying on styles that are so not you but somehow still work.

Add a little walk or mini reveal when everyone’s ready, and it just makes the whole thing fun to watch.

34. Prank call a friend

This is bound to be one of the funniest moments of the night. Here are some actually funny scenarios you can use so you do it right:

  • Call and act like you’re from a delivery service and say:

“Hi, I’m calling about your order… it says 5 live chickens and one birthday cake. Just confirming?”

  • Pretend you’re calling from a school:

“Hi, we just wanted to ask why you haven’t submitted your imaginary homework.”

  • Act like you’re confused about who’s number this is:

“Hey… is this the person that borrowed my goat last week?”

  • Say something super random and pause:

“Hi… I just wanted to say thank you.”

(when they ask for what, just say)

“You’ll find out soon.”

  • Pretend you’re doing a survey:

“Quick question, if you had to fight one horse-sized duck or ten duck-sized horses, what are you choosing?”

  • Or you can go for the classic Scary Movie mystery caller:

“Hello… have you checked your doors?”, “I’m just calling to make sure you’re… safe.”, “What are you doing right now?”

35. Create a crazy dance challenge

Choose a song everyone likes and actually build a proper dance routine to it.

Decide on key moves, a chorus part everyone hits together, and little details that make it look clean. Take time to practice so everyone’s in sync, then record it like it’s a real challenge you’d post.

In the end you make something that’s put together and actually FUN to watch.

Who knows you may just have started a TikTok dance trend.
